Identify – Clarify – Optimize

IDENTIFY your target market.

Do you know your audience? These are the people who will be using your product or service. Knowing them can help you tailor your message to resonate within your market. Where do they hang out? What do they enjoy doing? How do they prefer to buy? How will they use your product or service? These are just few questions that will get you closer to identifying your target market. Once you are very clear on who will be using your product or service, you will be able to move on to the next step.

CLARIFY your message.

Everyone has something to say but not everyone has the desire or the time to read it. It’s not about you it’s about THEM so think of the best way to get your message across. A picture paints a thousand words, can what you want to say be vocalized better with a graphic? Remember, time is short and most of us are on information overload so clarifying your message is vital in today’s marketplace.

OPTIMIZE your online presence. Shine. Stand out.

  • Branding: From your logo to your font, it’s all about sending a strong and consistent message every time you are in contact with your customer. Things like colors, shapes, themes and tag lines come across differently from print to the web but a consistent message is vital. The value you offer is expressed not only in the products or services you offer, but in every aspect of your business image. This includes you marketing collateral and a consistent vision statement you create on your website and social profiles.
  • Content: In today’s world content is king. The more relevant, quality, variety, and freshness you can offer in your newsletters, posts, tweets, and other communications the better.
  • Engagement:  Once you know who your target market is and where they hang out, you will be able to engage in conversations that are meaningful to them and that relate to your product or service. Be interested  in what they are looking for, so you can share interesting content and they will be interested in what you have to say.
  • Consistency: Be there and be there often; with interesting information and positive comments. If your Facebook page has multiple “likes” and lots of friends it’s vital to keep your fresh and new everyday. If you go stale so will your viewers.
